These terms apply to your use of this website and to illustration work commissioned from Sketch By Chris, the illustration business of Christopher Suico, based in the Philippines (“I”, “me”). By using the site or commissioning work, you agree to them.
1. Using this website
You may browse this website and share links to it. You may not copy, download for reuse, or republish the illustrations on it without written permission.
2. The illustrations on this site
Every illustration on this website is the work of Christopher Suico, or of the client it was made for, and is protected by copyright. Showing it here does not give anyone the right to use it.
3. Requests and quotes
Sending a sketch request does not commit either of us to anything. I’ll reply with a quote based on what you describe. Prices start at $50 and depend on complexity. A quote covers the work it describes; changes to the brief may change the price.
4. Deposit and payment
Work starts once you accept the quote and pay a 50% deposit. The remaining balance is due when the final illustration is approved, and the finished files are delivered once it is paid.
5. Revisions
The concept sketch includes one round of revisions, and so does the full-color illustration. Further revisions, or changes beyond the original brief, are quoted separately before I make them.
6. Timing
I’ll give you an estimated timeframe with the quote. If you have a fixed deadline, tell me in your request so we can agree on it before work starts.
7. Cancellation
You can cancel a project at any time by letting me know. If work has already started, the deposit is kept to cover the work done.
8. Copyright and use of your illustration
I keep the copyright in every illustration I make. Once the project is paid in full, you may use your illustration for the purpose agreed in the quote. If you need full ownership of the copyright, or wider use, say so in your request and it will be included in the quote.
9. My portfolio
I may show finished work in my portfolio, on this website and on my social media profiles, unless we agree otherwise before work starts.
10. Your material
If you send me logos, photos or other material to work from, you confirm you have the right to use them, and you remain responsible for that material.
11. Liability
This website is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect loss arising from your use of the website or of the work, and my total liability for a project is limited to the amount you paid for it.
12. Privacy
How your personal information is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
14. Changes
I may update these terms. The version on this page applies to new requests from the date at the top. Work already quoted follows the terms in place when you accepted the quote.
